The project has been able to fund itself from public donations since its inception in 2004 although there have been periods towards the end and beginning of each year when funds have been insufficient to restart in the New Year. As the main item of expense is the modest salary bill, the reality is that the project limps along financially.
The Addington Methodist Church is committed to the survival of the project but itself relies upon faith for its survival.
Both Rotary International (District 9270) and the eThekwini Durban Rotary Club, have and continue to provide bursaries for which we are extremely grateful and smaller public donations have enabled the project to continue on a month to month basis. We are actively seeking other donors to tide the project over until more consistent funds become available.
